Tamil heroes always have been looking to expand their market further in Telugu and Hindi as well. Hindi might look bit far fetched at this point of time but various heroes have good fan base here in Telugu market. While Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan have worked in Telugu films too, the latest generation earned a name for themselves by doing good content oriented films and dubbing them. Suriya, Karthi, Vikram enjoy bigger fan base in Telugu too. Ilayathalapathy Vijay, is trying hard to break through into Telugu market with his original films since Thuppakki became a hit. Previous years he released Puli, Police in Telugu and he is planning his Pongal film, Bairavaa for a simultaneous release. But nothing concrete as happened yet on that front.
It is a different case for Thala Ajith Kumar as he started off his career in Telugu and found grand success in Tamil. His films from Prema Lekha have been dubbed in Telugu and there are famous hits like Gambler, Vaali in those films as well. In his previous films, Yennai Arindhal, had a simultaneous release as Yentha Vaadu Gani, Aarambham was released as Aata Arambham and Veeram was released as Veerudokkade. Now, his Veeram is being remade as Katamarayudu by Pawan Kalyan and Kalyan will also star in remake of his big blockbuster Vedalam. The hero is looking to release his next movie simultaneously in Telugu as well it seems. Right now, Veeram, Vedalam director Siva is busy shooting the movie and the first look is planned for Pongal.
