Ajay Devgn’s theatre chain NY Cinemas, known for its stylish decor, good sound and picture quality, comfortable seating, and affordable prices is getting a new name.
It will now be called Devgn CineX. The update was shared by Gaurav Mishra who worked with NY Cinemas from 2019 to 2025.
He also revealed that the new logo will be launched soon and that NY Cinemas has merged with the Hyderabad-based Vishwa Samudra (VS) Group, a fast-growing business group with companies in multiple fields like infrastructure, shipping, real estate and more across several countries.
NY Cinemas was started in 2017, with its first property opening in Ratlam in 2019 inspired by railway-themed interiors.
The chain currently has theatres in Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai. Ajay Devgn says his goal is to revive the romance of cinema and bring audiences closer to films.
