Aishwarya Rajinikanth Points Finger at Anirudh for Movie Flop?

After a nine-year missing, Aishwarya Rajinikanth returned to filmmaking with her most recent film, “Lal Salaam,” following her debut with “3” in 2012 and “Vai Raja Vai” in 2014. While including Superstar Thalaiva Rajinikanth in a cameo, “Lal Salaam” did not perform well in both for the Telugu and Tamil markets.

During the promotion for “Lal Salaam,” Aishwarya made a surprising comment about her initial film, “3.” She believed that the immense success of the song “Kolaveri” overshadowed the film’s serious message, leaving the audience unsatisfied.

She added that the latest re-release and telecast of “3” received a better welcome because the hype surrounding the song had died down, highlighting the film’s content more effectively and improving the career of its music composer, Anirudh. However, Aishwarya’s statement created controversy as many believed that the film’s basic weak script and screenplay, rather than the song, contributed to its mixed reception.

Few critics and audiences were disappointed that Aishwarya seemed to deflect blame from the film’s shortcomings onto the song’s unexpected success. Despite the controversy, Aishwarya’s perspective sheds light on the complex dynamics between music, marketing, and storytelling in the film industry.
