Recently, controversy erupted over Aishwarya Rajesh’s claim that she could have performed Srivalli in Pushpa better than Rashmika Mandanna.
Recently, Aishwarya Rajesh claimed in an interview that Rashmika Mandanna would not have made a good Srivalli in Pushpa and that she would have. This comment quickly gained notoriety and stirred up debate because it infuriated the actress’s supporters. The Farhana actress later clarified her remarks against Rashmika and claimed that her statements had been misinterpreted.
Aishwarya Rajesh released a statement to clarify her remarks after receiving criticism on social media for them against Rashmika Mandanna. She expressed her deep affection and admiration for Rashmika and her creative endeavours.
She wrote, “Talking about work, I was asked in a recent interview on the kind of roles I want to do in Telugu cinema. I replied that I like the Telugu film industry a lot and that I would certainly do Telugu films if I got roles that were to my liking. To cite an example, I said I liked the character of Srivalli in Pushpa a lot as I felt such characters would suit me.”
She added, “However, unfortunately, my statement seems to have been misconstrued and is being reported in such a fashion so as to give the impression that I was disparaging the fantastic work of actress Rashmika Mandanna in the film.”
Then Aishwarya Rajesh made it clear that she greatly admires and respects Rashmika and her creative output. He stated in a letter, “I wish to clear up the confusion that seems to have ensued and clarify very clearly that I have nothing but profound admiration for Rashmika’s work in the film and that I have immense respect for all my fellow actors and actresses.”
Aishwarya Rajesh is also in the news for the controversy surrounding her recently released movie Farhana, in addition to this one. Several Muslim organisations argued that it portrayed a negative picture of the Muslim community. Some others also said the movie is “anti-Muslim.”
Rashmika Mandanna, meanwhile, is prepared to reprise her well-known role as Srivalli in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule. After the successful Bheeshma, she also collaborated with Nithiin and Venky Kudumula on his upcoming movie, VNRTrio. The actress is also working on Rainbow, which stars Dev Mohan and is her first female-focused movie.
