Ahan Shetty is all set to star in India’s first horror film inspired by a real-life national tragedy.
The project will be produced by Khyati Madaan’s Not Out Entertainment and Prashant Gunjalkar and filming will begin in early 2026.
Ahan made his debut with Tadap, which performed well at the box office. He will next appear in Border 2, releasing on Republic Day 2026 alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan. While that film is a grand patriotic drama, his new project takes a different route.
The untitled film will combine horror, a gripping love story, and thriller elements, offering Hindi cinema a rare genre mix. The makers plan to create a theatrical experience based on real history, making it a bold shift for Ahan.
The title and female lead will be revealed soon. The producers are confident this project will stand out in mainstream cinema.
