After Shadow, Chalam novel to be made a web series

Venu Udugula who directed with the critically acclaimed film Needi Naadi Oke Katha will be turning producer for a web series. Venu Udugula is currently making Virataparvam with Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. 90 percent of the shoot is completed and the remaining portion will be wrapped when the conditions allow the shoots to resume.

In the meantime, it is said that Venu Udugula has decided to make Chalam novel, Maidanam into a web series. While one of his assistants will be directing this web series, Venu Udugula will produce it for an OTT platform. When it was first published in 1927, Maidanam created a huge controversy for its content.

This novel deals with the story of a married women’s passionate relationship apart from her husband. Rajeswari and Ameer are the main characters in the novel. Rajeswari who is a housewife shares relations with her lawyer husband’s client, Ameer. More details regarding this web series will be out very soon.
