Nowadays, Bollywood is least interested to make movies with their own scripts. They are depending largely on South remakes. Especially, Bollywood filmmakers are remaking many Telugu films. It has been officially announced the other day that Chatrapathi is going to be remade in Bollywood with Bellamkonda Srinivas playing the lead role and VV Vinayak is going to direct the movie.

Pen Studios is remaking this blockbuster and now they have acquired remake rights of another Telugu blockbuster. They have purchased the rights of Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Race Gurram. Starring Allu Arjun and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles, the film depicts beautifully the relationship between two brothers. Surender Reddy has directed the original.

However, there is no information regarding who is going to direct the remake version. Currently, the script is being modified to suit the north audiences.
