After Acharya, can Chiru afford another risk?

Megastar Chiranjeevi had a lot of hopes on his recently released film, Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva, in which he shared the screen space with his son Ram Charan for the first time. However, despite all expectations, the film turned out to be a huge disaster at the box office, with the story being very familiar, and the audience being put off by the huge ticket prices.

The actor didn’t make any statements regarding the failure of the film, and simply decided to move on with his other projects. Chiru is currently on a vacation in the USA, and is expected to resume shooting Godfather, once he returns. The latest buzz is that the actor is eyeing a Dasara release for the film, and also intends to release the film in Hindi, given that Salman Khan will be seen in an important role in the film.

Given that one movie has already bombed at hte box office, and that Chiru has already previously tried and failed to make a mark with the North audience, it is being considered a huge, unnecessary risk for the actor, especially after facing one failure this year.
