After 15 Years, Celina Jaitly Signs Powerful Biopic
After a 15 year gap, Celina Jaitly is making her comeback to the big screen with a biopic on Sister Nivedita directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee.
She will play the famous disciple of Swami Vivekananda and described the role as one of the most meaningful experiences of her career for sure.
Born as Margaret Noble in Ireland, Sister Nivedita devoted her life to education, women empowerment and social service in India after becoming Vivekananda’s disciple.
Celina said that she has felt a much special connection with Sister Nivedita since childhood recalling visits to Roy Villa in Darjeeling with her parents. After spending 15 years in Europe the actress said returning to India helped her reconnect with her roots without fail.
She also praised Sister Nivedita’s lovely dedication to India and her inspiring work for women and society. The film release date is yet to be announced.
