Actor Adivi Sesh’s much-awaited movie, Major, a biopic on 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks hero Sandeep Unnikrishnan is scheduled for a February 11, 2022 release. But considering the ongoing Covid third wave circumstances, the team has decided to postpone the film indefinitely.
An official announcement regarding the same is out this afternoon. “Owing to the aggravation of the covid situation and curfew/limitations in most parts of the country, the release of Major stands postponed. We would announce a new release date soon. Please adhere to all covid protocols and stay safe. Our nation isn’t safe, till each one of us is safe,” says the makers.
Being directed by Sashi Tikka, the film has Saiee Manjrekar as the female lead. Sobhita Dhulipala will be seen in a key role. Sony Pictures India, Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainments and AplusS Movies banners are jointly bankrolling this pan-India project.
The release of #MajorTheFilm stands postponed owing to the pandemic.
