Actress Sri Reddy protested against the Casting couch in Telugu Cinema Industry and tried to take the media attention saying that Telugu girls are being denied any kind of opportunities to prove themselves. The actress got attention from MAA, Movie Artists Association and then accepted to give her membership. But due to technical reasons, as she did not fill the application and did necessary work, her application got delayed. She protested half-naked before the office of MAA against this. Now, MAA president Sivaji Raja taking it as an offensive protest said, “We deny membership to Sri Reddy and if any actor will act with her, they will be suspended from MAA.” This is an indirect ban on the actress. Sivaji Raja added, “This kind of protests should not be encouraged. She did not fill the application correctly and according to the process the association has, we cannot grant her the membership. And now, we will never even consider giving her membership.”

Uttej got emotional and said, “I have brought my daughter into the Industry. And I will bring my second daughter too into the Film Industry. There are some vested interests, who spoil the name. So, I took Sri Reddy to Teja and another producer, Ramakrishna Goud, came forward to give her an advance amount too. He gave her 50,000/-. If she comes out and does this, who will support her now? She needed offers, we talked to the directors, she asked for membership, we gave her the application and she needed to fill it up and give due details. What more can we do than this?”

Senior actor Naresh said, “I never thought I will see this worst behavior for anyone. Film Chamber needs cleansing. If a wannabe is doing so, then it is a failure of our system and we need to cleanse it immediately.” Actor Srikanth said, “We cannot approve of such behavior. Tomorrow ten other people will come and protest like this. Should we encourage this on a public platform?”

Hema slammed the actress approach and said, “I helped and stood by many. I would have stood by her too. But the approach is not right. Many actresses have put complaints against any such kind of intolerable behavior and we solved their issues. If she doesn’t believe in us and wants attention, we cannot entertain her anymore.” Well, the actress has now taken the protest more personally and she is trying to gain sympathy from media and public.
