Actresses these days have become gossip machines for tabloids and the news vehicles are just trying to cash-in on anything and everything. From Sridevi’s death to Jhanvi’s boyfriend to some actress’s fall out with her neighbor or friend, everything is a news. There is a no personal space that a celebrity wants to share and not share. If they say, it is personal, then controversial takes start on them.

People are not even leaving the dead. Tamil media came up with reports that Sridevi and Kamal Haasan were an item during their heydays. Kamal about the rumours and stories, said, “Stopping stooping too low. Sridevi is like my sister. If you carefully watch me and her performing, it looks like she is trying to react exactly like me. I ate food from her mother’s hands and I always respected her for that. We never shared about it in public because people always used to show to the young couple by showing us as the on-screen example. We wanted that image to not die, while we were acting together.”

Khusubu Sundar also hit back on such silly rumours and constant pressure. She said, “If a male actor dies with alcohol traces, people won’t try to judge their character but for a woman, they start trying to assassinate the character. This is just plain debauchery and it is not journalism.” Many actresses have also pointed out that their lives are not public property and they do need their personal time. Well, we understand paparazzi and media’s hunger for news but trying to plant a bad image on a legend after death, who did not really affect any person, in a harmful manner is seriously condemnable.
