Late 90’s and early 2000 saw many Telugu and Mumbai girls starting their careers in Telugu Cinema. Not many of them clicked but Laya remained as a sweet actress from Telugu and she acted in major hit films too. After Swayamvaram, Preminchu, Manoharam, Missamma, Hanuman Junction and many more remarkable films, she decided to get married to Dr Ganesh Gorti and shifted to the USA permanently. She did not return back to Telugu Cinema for a decade till now.
For Srinu Vaitla film, Amar Akbar Anthony, she is set to make a comeback as a mother of the leading actress, Anupama Parameswaran. Ravi Teja is playing a triple role in the movie and it is said to be a laugh riot. Sunil is set to play a big role in the film and this will be his comeback to comedy after trying out as a hero in the films for a decade. Director, Srinu Vaitla is very excited about the movie and he wishes to announce to his fans and critics that he still has a lot to offer as a maker.
Laya has been made this offer as the major part of the shoot will happen in the USA and her parts will be shot in that country only. So, to reduce costs of taking an Indian artist from Telugu states to the USA, the team wanted to see if the Telugu actors in USA can work for their film. Luckily, Laya liked the offer and decided to give it a go after so many years. Recently, the movie unit as completed their recce in USA and Srinu Vaitla decided to shoot in Jennifer Lopez’s house in New York for the movie.
