The cast of Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been actively promoting the impending release of the movie. However, the film’s key actors Jayam Ravi and Trisha recently lost their social media accounts due to the film’s advertising.

The names of the characters they play in the movie were changed to the stars’ verified Twitter usernames in order to better promote their movie. Trisha changed her Twitter username to Kundava while Jayam Ravi changed it to Arunmozhi Varman.

But because Twitter has tight rules, as soon as the celebrities changed their handles, they lost their verified Blue Tick. Here is what transpired.

This means that the username, display name, or profile photo on a user’s account cannot have recently changed. Trisha and Jayam Ravi thus lost their blue ticks as soon as they changed their Twitter identities.

Actress Trisha, @trishtrashers, who goes by that handle, resumed her name and display the image right away, but she is still awaiting her blue tick. The actor Jayam Ravi, better known by his handle actor_jayamravi, has chosen to continue using his stage name without the blue tick.

On Twitter, Trisha Krishnan has 5.4 million followers, and the actor from Comali has 4 million. Regarding Ponniyin Selvan, the opening act of the movie generated a lot of talk in Tamil-speaking circles. Despite receiving conflicting reviews from viewers, the movie nonetheless managed to make Tamil box office records. The movie’s second installment, directed by Mani Ratnam, is anticipated to break several box office records.
