In a tragic update, reputed Tamil actor Vivek passed away at a private hospital this morning at 4:35 AM. He was 59. After complaining severe heart attack, Vivek was rushed to the hospital in Chennai yesterday and was kept in ICU for better treatment.
As Vivek’s health condition turned critical, he breathed his last this morning, confirms our sources. Vivek was introduced to films by legendary K Balachander in 1987 with Manathil Uruthi Vendum and later he did numerous films in Tamil.
Apart from acting with top stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vijay among others, Vivek even hosted various TV shows and film events in his own style. He was also a playback singer and even known for his social activities.
Identifying Vivek’s contribution to the Arts and Entertainment, the Indian Government awarded with the Padma Shri award in 2009. In 2015, the multi-faceted actor also got an honorary doctorate from Sathyabama University.
