Actor Srikanth takes over his contemporary

Srikanth is one actor who started out playing a baddie in films but slowly transitioned into a family hero, very well establishing himself in that role. While the actor has been seen in a few bad roles in recent times, nothing caught the eyes of the audience like his role in Akhanda.

Srikanth is also set to be seen as the big bad in the last film of Kannada Superstar Puneeth Rajkumar, James, which got a good opening in the Telugu states. Srikanth is also in talks to play the baddie in other films, and will also be seen in Ram Charan’s film with director Shankar. The actor seems to be replacing his contemporary Jagapathi Babu, who was the most in-demand, until recently.

Coincidentally, it was Boyapati who turned Jagapathi Babu into the big bad villain, with Legend. While Jagapathi Babu still remains the go-to for anyone looking to cast for a key role, Srikanth seems to be catching up with him soon enough.
