Acharya movie team announced the title officially with a motion poster and first look teaser on 22nd August. Motion poster revealed not much of the story but a fictional temple town called, Dharmasthali and few visuals that give us an idea about the premise. Even Chiranjeevi’s complete look from the film has been hidden from everyone. Only an action poster of the actor has been unveiled. Suddenly, a writer alleged that the film story has been copied from him and that too looking at a motion poster.
The producers of the film, Matinee Entertainments issued an open letter clarifying that director, Koratala Siva came up with an original script and they came forward to producing it, after reading it thoroughly. They also clarified that they did not use any imagery or story written by any other writers, other than whom they can credit, for the film. Producers dismissed that the allegations are baseless and ridiculous too. They did not update about any other details like when the shoot will start or when the movie will release.
