Dharmasthali set erected for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s last year released social drama, Acharya was the talk of the industry during the shooting process. The lavish set was built by Suresh Selvarajan and its estimated cost is around 25 crore.
Meanwhile, the reports from our sources are coming in that the temple set caught fire last night. Reportedly, someone smoked cigarettes sitting at the main entrance of the temple set and the entire premises caught fire minutes later. The complete Dharmasthali set was burnt in big flames, say sources.
Even after the shooting of Acharya is completed, the makers kept the set same as it is. Reportedly, a few medium and small-range films are using the set by making minor modifications to the interior designs for the past eight months or so.
It is widely known that Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer Acharya had a theatrical release in April 2022 and ended up as a disaster at the box office. The film was directed by Koratala Siva and also has Tanikella Bharani in a key role. Pooja Hegde played the female lead opposite Charan. Matinee Entertainments’ banner in association with Konidela Productions Company bankrolled Acharya which left the buyers in huge losses.
