Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly-anticipated social drama, Acharya is carrying high expectations among the fans and moviegoers. Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is also playing a special role in this Siva Koratala directorial.
Initially, the makers planned to release the film on May 13th as Eid festival special but due to the sudden spike in the Corona second wave cases across the country, the film’s release is postponed. Though the film’s release is pushed further, the shooting continued and even Ram Charan joined the sets in the first week of April to wrap up his part. Star heroine Pooja Hegde,who is playing the love interest of Charan also participated the shoot along with the hero.
But things change overnight after actor Sonu Sood,who is doing the main antagonist role in the movie tested positive for Covid-19. Later, the shooting was stalled and the cast and crew members went under home isolation. A couple of days back, even Pooja Hegde was tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus which is now worrying Acharya team members.
When Acharya’s release postponed, news came out that the team is looking for an alternative release date in the month of June. But now, the fresh news surfacing on internet is that the film’s release is postponed indefinitely. Sources reveal that the makers are yet to take a final call on the film’s new release date as there is no clue on when the Covid situation settles down.
Sadly, this news comes as a shock for mega fans, who are eagerly waiting to watch the star father-son duo on the screen.
While Kajal Aggarwal will be seen as the pair opposite Chiranjeevi, Acharya is being bankrolled by Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy. Manisharma is the film’s music composer.
