Abhishek Banerjee’s recent Insta post from Chennai created buzz not just for the mystery project he is shooting but also because of his personal connection with the place.

Though born in Kharagpur he spent most of his childhood in Kalpakkam near Chennai. Returning now as a successful actor feels emotional and nostalgic for him.

Currently filming an undisclosed project in Chennai, Abhishek’s visit comes at a great time in his career.

His web series Paatal Lok continues to be popular and his film Stolen is gaining attention especially in Tamil Nadu.

A source close to him shared that the sights, smells and weather of Chennai and Kalpakkam bring back strong memories, from local food to the sea breeze.

For Abhishek shooting here feels like coming full circle. Though details of the film remain secret the experience has been special for him and his team.
