Aaradugula Bullet Movie Review and Rating!

Action hero Gopichand and senior director B Gopal’s long-delayed film, Aaradugula Bullet has hit the screens today. Let’s check how it goes.

Story: Siva(Gopichand) is a happy-go-lucky guy from Bezawada who loves a girl named Nayana( Nayanthara). On the flip side, fed up with Siva’s careless attitude, his father ( Prakash Raj) hates him. One fine day, as an unexpected scenario, a local rowdy ( Abhimanyu Singh) tries to grab Siva’s father’s land. How will Siva go against the local rowdy to save his father’s land and gains his love? Forms rest of the film.

Performances: Gopichand fitted perfectly in the aggressive natured youngster role. As the film was shot almost six years ago, Gopichand looked young in the movie. His screen presence and physical appearance bring life to a few action sequences.

Nayanthara is cute and her chemistry with Gopichand has been presented in a loveable manner. Prakash Raj gets a meaty role and gave a good performance in the emotional role.

Late comedians MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy evoke good laughs in the given limited roles. Comedy king Brahmanandam is hilarious in the given comic role.

Abhimanyu Singh is okay in his given baddie role which fails to create an impact.

Technicalities: Kanal Kannan choreographed action sequences came out well and are a major plus for the film.

The cinematography work by M Balamurugan is good as he tried to give a quality output with his camera work. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao is fine. Music by Mani Sharma is just okay as his work fails to register in the movie.

Production values by Jaya Balaji Real Media are adequate.

Analysis: Noted writer Vakkantham Vamsi has provided story for the film which lacks novelty in it. His story is a simple emotional drama between the father and son which we have seen in many Tollywood films earlier.

Coming to the film director B Gopal, his taking in the first half of the film is good as elements such as family emotions, comedy, love, romance are showcased in a proper manner. But sadly, the director failed to maintain the same momentum in the crucial second half.

The emotional bond between the father-son which is the core theme of the film has not been showcased in a gripping manner in the latter half due to which the proceedings look dull during this time.

Overall, director B Gopal tried to present Aaradugula Bullet in his own style by incorporating action and family emotions but failed to impress with his execution part. As per the box office performance, the film may find audiences in B and C centres during this weekend.

Verdict: Action loaded routine family drama!

Rating: 1.5/5
