Youthful entertainers are the flavour of the season. Good love stories with all the right ingredients have always been lapped up well by the Telugu audiences. Malayalam blockbuster ‘Anandam’ falls into the same category. This youthful entertainer, made on a shoestring budget of Rs.5 crores with new actors, created sensation by collecting more than 4 times its budget. Now the film is now going to release in Telugu with the same title. Yetthari Gururaj is producing the film in Telugu under Sukheebhava movies banner. Veeraa Venkateswara Rao (Peddababu), VRB Raju and Ravi Varma Chiluvuri are the Co-producers.
The guest role of Nivin Pauly, who became a heartthrob of millions with ‘Premam’, makes the film all the more special. The film offers everything that the current generation audiences look for and the producer is quite confident that the Telugu audiences will also love the film.
Telugu producer says, “’Aanandam’ was a big hit in Malayalam. The box-office collections, which were four times the budget, show the stamina of the movie. On top of that, it was made with new actors and its director Ganesh Raj’s debut movie. Knowing about the big success of the film, many producers have vied for the Telugu rights. But we have bagged the rights amidst such huge competition. Even after that, many have approached us for the remake rights and a big producer had offered us a fancy price. But we have decided to dub the film in Telugu as it is very close to Telugu nativity. Except for ‘Premam’ fame Nivin Pauly, the film has all new actors. The performances are natural with no one going over the top. What happens when a group of second year engineering students go for an industrial tour in four days will be interesting. The three love stories in the film are beautiful and Sachin Warrier’s music is another major highlight of this movie”.
“We are planning to release the audio in the first week of March and the film on 16th of the same month. We are sure this film will be a big hit like ‘Happy Days’ in Telugu”, the producer added.
Arun Kurian, Thomas Mathew, Roshan Mathew, Siddhi Mahajankatti, Annu Antony, Vishak Nair and Anarkali Marikarin played the lead roles
