Aamir Khan’s son Ira Khan has spoken openly about her mental health. She recently admitted in an interview that she holds herself responsible for her sadness since she grew up believing that she needed to be depressed in order for people to appreciate her.

Aamir Khan’s daughter recently revealed in an interview that she holds herself responsible for her sadness. She added that her depression is ‘partly genetic’ at the same time. Ira discussed her childhood conviction that she needed to be depressed in order to be liked during the conversation. The daughter of Aamir Khan founded a wellness institute for mental health and well-being and frequently discussed her mental health on social media.

Ira stated that “depression is a little complicated” when speaking about her own depression. It is a combination of genetic, psychological, and societal factors, she claimed. It is somewhat genetic in my case. On both my mother’s and father’s sides of the family, there is a history of mental health problems. My parents’ divorce, which they managed as best they could at the time, was one of the trigger points, according to my therapist. When her father Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta split in 2002, Ira Khan was a very young child.

Ira also stated during the interview that her parents’ divorce was amicable and that she does not hold them responsible for her sadness. She said that although her parents made sure that divorce was not shown as a major issue, she had a different perspective on the circumstance that made it appear that way. Furthermore, Aamir Khan’s daughter made several really strong statements, one of which was that she blames herself for her sadness because she spent 20 years thinking that one had to be depressed in order for people to love them.

I formed this opinion from seeing numerous films. When I was around 8 or 10 years old, I recall urging myself to suppress my emotions and put on a phoney grin. I therefore grew up being somewhat damaged since I thought that only so would others adore me. So, I deliberately set myself up to come across as depressed,” Ira Khan tacked on
