Aamir Khan recently attended the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year 2026 event held at Mumbai Gateway of India where he said about social media addiction and corruption.
He admitted that he used to spend time reading books but now he often finds himself watching YouTube videos and Insta Reels for long hours.
He clearly explained that social media algorithms keep suggesting engaging content making it easy for people to lose track of time.
The actor also said that while adults may control their usage but social media could have a stronger negative effect on children.
He clearly mentioned that some countries are thinking about restricting social media use for those under 16 without fail. He also noted that corruption has existed for centuries as mentioned in the ancient text Arthashastra.
