When reminiscing his visit to Shah Rukh Khan’s residence Mannat, Aamir Khan once likened his fame to SRK’s and expressed amazement. One of the celebrities that consistently tries to be politically correct is Aamir Khan. He makes an effort to communicate just enough. Not too much or too little. And one of the reasons his media appearances are valued is that the actor only emerges from his hibernation mode during the marketing of his films. He remains distant the remainder of the year while working on the masterpiece he would soon present.
As a result, when the superstar once poured out his heart, equating his fame with that of Shah Rukh Khan, he made sure to come clean with some shocking revelations. Indeed, they did.
When Aamir Khan was promoting his movie Thugs of Hindostan, he once had a talk with Filmfare. The PK actor was completely enthralled by SRK’s aura and charm. Even so, he exclaimed how Mannat had made him feel.
The actor added, when asked about his fashion choices, “I don’t perceive myself as a star. Shah Rukh, however, and everything else about him, I definitely see as a big star. He is extremely endearing, gorgeous, and well-dressed.
I wore a three-quarter pant and a T-shirt during Diwali, the actor slyly acknowledged. Even the straps on the trousers are currently falling off due to their age.
Aamir Khan opened out about his first visit to Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan’s house, following this admission. “I’ve been to Shah Rukh’s house when it was new,” he recalled. He led me to his closet. His clothes takes far more space than my entire house. And the clothing is stored in such a meticulously arranged and classified manner. Everything is incredibly nicely preserved, even shoes and socks. I thought, “Wow! Star Ka Ghar, Yeh Hota Hai. There is complexity in my life, yet I am not alone.”
For the uninitiated, the two actors have been competing against one another ever since their screen debuts, when both of them asserted a star status in their own right. Shah Rukh Khan, though, was the centre of unimaginable fan attention and public excitement.
When he once posted on his blog, “Shah Rukh mere pair chaat raha hai,” Aamir Khan’s feud with him came to light. He then shrugged it off, stating that his bungalow’s caretaker in Panchgani was a major SRK fan and gave his dog the name Shah Rukh, about whom he wrote on his blog.
However, the two celebrities put their differences aside when they were photographed having a good time together at a Mannat-hosted Diwali celebration in 2017. Fans have always hoped that the two will appear together on screen, but they have never done so.
