Aamir Khan produced Ek Din, featuring his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. However the film turned out to be a big failure at the box office and could not sustain even for a day in theatres.
This project also marked Sai Pallavi’s Hindi debut. Interestingly she had reportedly said before the release that she felt she was not the right choice for this role.
All viewers also found much similarities between this film and her earlier Telugu movie Padi Padi Leche Manasu, making it feel less fresh.
Despite the poor result Aamir Khan did not blame the actors or casting. He accepted the failure calmly as we all know.
In recent years Aamir has been facing a very tough phase with several of his films underperforming.
