Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan is known for his perfectionism, be it acting or selecting scripts. He is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha, which is a remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks in the lead. While Aamir is busy with Laal Singh Chaddha, his personal life has now become a hot topic for the media.
Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao, have announced today that they have decided to get separated. They released an official notification, stating that they are divorced, but would continue to collaborate professionally. Kiran and Aamir have been married for 15 years now, and also have a son, Azad Rao Khan. The couple issued a joint statement about their divorce, and have stated that they would also take care of their son together.
The reason for the couple’s divorce is not known. Aamir’s marriage to Kiran is his second. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, from he got a divorce in 2002. He has two children with her, a son Junai, and a daughter Ira. On the professional front, Aamir has two more films in the pipeline after Laal Singh Chaddha.
