Aadarsha Kutumbam – House No. 47 brings together Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas for the first time. The film also has Srinidhi Shetty, Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, and Rao Ramesh in key roles. After being postponed once, the family drama has been released today. Read our review here.

Aadarsha Kutumbam Story: Chittibabu (Venkatesh) wins a lottery and moves into a posh villa. However, his dream life soon takes an unexpected turn when he gets caught up in a crime and lands his family in trouble. The story is simple and shows how the entire family, headed by Chittibabu, navigates their problems, with a cop played by Nara Rohith as the basis of the film.

Performances: Venkatesh is the heart and soul of the film. His timing in comedy scenes is particularly good, while his handling of emotional moments adds some warmth. Even when the writing becomes routine, his presence keeps the audience invested. Srinidhi Shetty gets a meaningful role and makes good use of the opportunity. She fits the character and shares a pleasant screen presence with Venkatesh. Nara Rohith adds an interesting dimension to the film with his casting and screen presence.

Satya provides good laughs through his IT employee character. Rao Ramesh is dependable as always, and his dialogues during the rolling titles are among the enjoyable moments. Brahmaji and Raghu Babu are adequate, while Raj Prajwal and Yuvina perform their parts reasonably well. Nivetha Pethuraj is also okay in her role.

Technical Aspects: Thaman’s songs are largely forgettable but his background score, however, is much better and adds energy to the crime portions. Ravi K. Chandran’s cinematography gives the film a polished look, while Navin Nooli’s editing is reasonably good. The production values of Haarika & Hassine Creations are good. The fights composed and dialogues by Trivikram are superb.

Analysis: Aadarsha Kutumbam takes a familiar route by introducing a middle-class family and placing them in an unexpected situation. The initial portions are entertaining, mainly because Venkatesh makes even routine situations enjoyable.

The first half moves at a decent pace, with family comedy and crime elements running alongside each other. The humour works in patches, and the film gets a noticeable lift in the portions leading up to the interval. The interval sequence is one of the better moments and creates curiosity about what follows.

The second half has some enjoyable stretches as Trivikram brings in his familiar style of situational comedy. The crime track and family portions are blended reasonably well, giving the audience a few entertaining moments.

However, the underlying story is quite predictable, and the revelations do not offer anything particularly surprising. Certain portions also remind viewers of familiar crime-comedy films. The biggest issue is that the film never rises beyond its basic setup. There is enough scope for stronger drama and emotional depth, but the writing settles for convenient situations and routine twists.

Still, the film is not without its positives. Venkatesh’s performance, a few genuinely funny sequences, the supporting cast, and Thaman’s background score keep it reasonably watchable. It may not offer memorable cinema, but it provides enough light entertainment for audiences looking for a relaxed time at the movies.

Verdict: Overall, Aadarsha Kutumbam depends heavily on Venkatesh’s charm and occasional comedy moments. Trivikram delivers a few entertaining episodes, but the predictable storyline and ordinary second half are some demerits. The family audience will surely lap up the film thanks to the cast and names associated with it, and make this film a time-pass watch.

Bottom Line: Venkatesh makes this familiar comedy enjoyable.
