A well-known costume designer will soon make her directorial debut.

Neeraja Kona, a well-known stylist and costume designer, will shortly make her directorial debut. For her debut as a filmmaker, Neeraja has hired renowned cinematographer PC Sreeram to operate the camera. The story for the movie was written by aspiring author Mithun Chaitanya.

Beginning her film career in 2013, Neeraja worked as an assistant costume designer on NTR and Kajal Aggarwal’s Baadshah. Later, she became an independent fashion designer and worked as a personal stylist for various famous actresses on blockbuster films including Autonagar Surya, Ramayya Vasthavayya, Attarintiki Daredi, Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, Mersal, Khakhee, Saamy2, and NGK.

Additionally, she wrote the lyrics for a few songs that appeared in the films Thikka, Chal Mohan Ranga, and Miss India.

In a sequence of tweets this evening, Neeraja’s close friend and fellow actor Nithin and PC Sreeram announced the news of her upcoming directorial debut. Soon, more information about the project will be released.
