Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the legend who had a long career of 70 years from 1944 to 2014 till his death, always decided on making films that had different themes and social problems. He never bogged down from taking up a sensitive subject right from his younger days in movies like Sumangali, Dr. Chakravarthi, and many more.He also encouraged his next generation and successors to look for different scripts, to grow as actors and give audience something new experience at the cinemas. Akkineni Nagarjuna tried a lot of new subjects like Antham, Govinda Govinda, Manam, Geetanjali and many more following in the footsteps of his legendary father and even his latest Oopiri is a sign of him following his father’s advice to the tee.

Now, Sumanth the grand child of ANR, and who had a very little luck at the box office even though a competent actor, also suggested that he always tried new subjects following the legacy and advice of his Grandfather.
