A silly allegation or Sharwanand at fault?

Actor Sharwanand is garnering some pretty bad press these days after Tamil director-producer Cheran levelled some serious allegations.

A source close to him has however reacted saying that the DVD of the film was directly released so there was no point in promotions and the actor even dubbed for the film despite not getting his full pay. On his part, Tamil director-producer Cheran has said in along emotional briefing that Sharwa didn’t co-operate during the promotions of the film Rajadhi Raja which made it to the theatres recently despite a lot of trouble. While talking to the media people he said, “I was hurt after learning that Sharwanand and the producer Sravanthi Ravikishore are not professional enough about the promotion of the film. I had agreed to pay the actor Rs 1 Crore as his remuneration and paid Rs 55 Lakh for him. Still I need to pay him another Rs 45 Lakh. Is this how one acts with producers who have invested so much money on him? I’m still maintaining that Sharwanand is good actor.

But such acts raises questions about his professionalism. Initially, Sravanthi Ravikishore was producer for the film and he interfered a lot. He had asked me that he’d cut the film’s trailer and I didn’t agree as it was my job. He had dropped from the film’s production. Tollywood producer Venkatesh has come forward to see the film and bought the film only after impressed with it. Sharwa didn’t respond even after my repeated attempts to invite him for film promotion…. I felt bad as a good film wasn’t promoted well and there was no cooperation when a new director was debuting into Telugu. Producer Venkatesh had great difficulty in releasing the film. When we approached heroine to promote the film, she had said she’d come for promotion only if hero comes. When my daughter was in a problem, Sharwa had helped her out. I treated him as my younger brother. But today, he’s a changed man. Having said that I don’t hold any grudges against Sharwa or heroine or Ravikishore in the matter. Rajadhi Raja is a good film.” Well, well, now only time will tell who is wrong and who’s right!
