When the first part of KGF hit the theatres, it was a runaway and a surprise success, with audiences all over the country loving the film. KGF made its director, Prashant Neel, the most sought after director.
KGF: Chapter 2 has a lot of expectations on the film, and the release of the film got postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. KGF 2 was supposed to release on July 16th but got postponed due to the second wave of coronavirus. It is now being said that the film will be released on September 9th. This might be a highly risky date for the film, given that Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda is also expected to release on the same date.
If both the films release on the same date, KGF 2 might not be able to do as well, given Balakrishna’s loyal fanbase in the Telugu states, and the expectations of Balakrishna and Boyapati’s third film. Releasing on the same date would not yield good profits for the film, due to the prevailing circumstances. Experts feel that KGF 2 should try to release on a different date if it wants to get the maximum out of the current situation.
