Vijay Deverakonda’s much anticipated film, Liger, directed by Puri Jagannath, was finally released yesterday, and recieved mixed reviews at best, with audiences being very divided about the film, and not many liking anything in the film apart from Vijay’s performance.
The film opened to decent collections worldwide, but there’s a long way to go, if the film has to achieve a break even status, considering the mixed talk it has been getting from everywhere. Liger gestures Ramya Krishnan, Mike Tyson and Ronit Roy in key characters, and while Ramya and Ronit’s characters have received some praise, Mike Tyson’s cameo is being called pointless by a lot of audiences.
On the other hand, Ananya Panday, who made her Telugu debut with the film, as the leading lady, has also not been able to impress the audience with her performance. With Vijay being the only saving grace for the film, it should be seen whether the film will be able to reach its break even point or not.
