Tollywood has begun to open up again, after the second wave of coronavirus. When compared to the way the industry got back after the first wave, the speed and the frequency at which the industry has started to open up after the second wave is very slow, due to the more devastating nature of the second wave. Moreover, audiences haven’t been as open to going back to theatres as they were, after the first wave, and have only started to go back to theatres slowly, with filmmakers being confident only from the recently released Love Story.
As a result, several movies have been lined up for release this month, in October, including Sai Dharam Tej’s Republic, which has been released today, Vaishnav Tej’s Konda Polam, Akhil Akkineni’s Most Eligible Bachelor, Sharwanand and Siddharth’s Maha Samudram, and Roshan’s Pelli SandaD, along with several other small films.
For the producers of other films to go ahead with releasing their films in theatres without any doubts, in the coming days, these films would have to perform well t the box office, considering that all of these are films with good expectations on them.
