Mahanati, a biopic of legendary actress Savitri, has been in production from past five months. Naga Ashwin is directing the movie with Dulquer Salmaan, Prakash Raj, Keerthy Suresh, Shalini Pandey and Samantha Akkineni in important roles. Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Savitri and Samantha is said to be the narrator of the story.
Prakash Raj will be seen as Jr. NTR and Dulquer Salmaan will be playing the role of Gemini Ganeshan, the legendary actor of Tamil Cinema and husband of Savitri. The film has an exciting story about the illustrious career of the actress and the ups and downs she faced through her life will be shown to us in a more heart touching way as per the reports. Also, the movie will bring back the memories of old movies like Mayabazaar, Missamma and many others to showcase the growth of Savitri as an actress.
