Within a few days of a film’s release, the film’s team makes it a point to hold a success meet, with lot of pictures released on social media, and the cast and crew of the film expressing their joy in the film turning out to be a success.
In some cases, the success meet of a film is justified, as the film would have turned out to be a hit genuinely. However, most of the time, success meets are a publicity tactic to promote a film to the audience, by advertising that the film has turned out to be a success. This doesn’t guarantee that the film somehow manages to be a success, it just increases the visibility of the film.
Success meets are a huge sham for films that have turned out to be flops at the box office, as they mean extra cost to the producer, who is already suffering from the lack of proper revenue at the box office.
