Naga Chaitanya Akkineni is a relative of Venkatesh. They both have a great relationship as maternal uncle and nephew. They showed a glimpse of that at private functions and on screen as well. In Premam, in a small cameo, Venky showed how good they both are with each other. From then on, a movie starring both the actors has been on minds of many young filmmakers and producers. This would be a one of its kind film where two well-known family heroes come together for a film.
Such a film has been in the pipeline from many years but recently, the rumour mills have confirmed that the movie will go on floors this year. It is also rumoured that the movie will be directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who made films like Soggade Chinni Nayana and Rarandoyi Veduka Chuddam with Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. The director is said to be busy with his other commitments and hence, he may not direct the film.
Instead of him, Bobby, who made films like Sardar Gabbar Singh, Jai Lava Kusa, is in talks to direct this movie it seems. Suresh Babu is spear-heading this project as per the sources and this one could go on floors once Naga Chaitanya completes his commitments and Venkatesh finishes his movie with Teja. The story discussions are still going on but the strong rumour is that one version of the story and screenplay, have been locked by the production team. Let’s wait for official confirmation on this.
