After delivering successful films like Mimi and Chhaava, director Laxman Utekar is now working with Shraddha Kapoor on a new biographical drama titled Eetha.
The film is based on the life of legendary folk artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar and will portray her great and inspiring journey, struggles and rise to fame between the 1940s and 1990s.
Produced under Maddock Films while the movie reunites the team behind Chhaava. Shraddha plays the lead role while Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub appear in a much important roles.
The film was shot over a 60 day schedule across several locations in Maharashtra.
Eetha marks Shraddha’s return to the big screen after a gap and is expected to showcase her in one of the most challenging roles of her career. The film will release on August 28th 2026.
