Aamir Khan has shared exciting news for fans of the blockbuster film 3 Idiots. In a interview he confirmed that 3 Idiots 2 is currently in development.
Director Rajkumar Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi are working on the sequel. Aamir said another project based on Dadasaheb Phalke’s life has been put on hold for now because Hirani is not fully satisfied with the script.
At present he is focusing on 3 Idiots 2 in a huge way. Aamir said that he has heard the full story and feels it has turned out very well.
He said the sequel will keep the same humor and emotional charm of the original while offering something very much fresh.
The story will show the same characters from 3 Idiots but 10 years later. He is also excited to return as Phunsukh Wangdu once again without fail.
