Naveen Chandra and Shalini play the lead roles in the film 28 Degrees Celsius, directed by Anil Viswanath. This movie was actually made back in 2016, but due to various reasons, it couldn’t be released at that time. Finally, it has hit the screens in 2025. Now the big question is can a movie made 9 years ago still impress today’s audience? Let’s find out!
28 Degree Celsius Movie Story: 28 Degrees Celsius is about Karthik and Anjali, a couple who fall in love during their MBBS and get married. Anjali suffers brain damage due to mental stress and must stay in 28°C temperature. They go to Georgia for her treatment but face unexpected challenges, which Karthik must overcome.
Performances: Naveen Chandra’s screen presence and emotional expressions show his sincerity and leave a good impression. Shalini stands out with her natural beauty and convincing acting. Although the twist in Devayani Sharma’s character is interesting, it doesn’t get fully explored or elevated. Meanwhile, the comedy track by Priyadarshi and Viva Harsha doesn’t land well and fails to create much impact.
Technical Aspects: 28 Degrees Celsius suffers from outdated visuals, as proper post-production like DI wasn’t done, making it feel like mobile footage on the big screen. Though the songs by Shravan Bharadwaj shine, the rest of the technical aspects are underused. The twist feels heavily inspired by the Hollywood film Orphan, which makes it predictable. Despite an interesting concept, weak drama and poor execution stop the film from making an impact.
Analysis: Nowadays, if a movie gets delayed even a little, some heroes get upset and don’t even post about it on their social media, let alone take part in promotions. But Naveen Chandra, out of love for the film and respect for the director and producer, promoted 28 Degrees Celsius as much as he could, even though it released 9 years after being made. He truly deserves appreciation for that. Beyond this, there’s not much to talk about regarding the film itself.
Verdict: 28 Degrees Celsius had an interesting concept and sincere effort from the lead actor, but outdated visuals, a predictable plot, and weak execution make it a forgettable watch. Naveen Chandra’s dedication is commendable, but the film itself fails to leave an impact.
Bottom Line: Outdated film with sincere effort.
Rating: 2/5
