In the quest for revival, Tollywood has completed three months. From Sankranthi, Telugu Movies are releasing on a regular basis. Even with the 50 percent occupancy cap, Sankranthi movies have done decently well with Krack coming out with flying colors. Krack has collected close to Rs. 50 Cr share. Red has done average business while Master ended up a profitable venture. Pradeep’s 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela though got negative reviews, has managed to bring profits to the makers.
Uppena is the next blockbuster in February. The movie’s gross crossed 100 Cr which is sensational for the movie that has debutants. Allari Naresh’s Naandhi is a comeback movie and it has seen profits, so is Prashant Varma’s, Zombie Reddy.
In March, Naveen Polishetty’s Jathi Ratnalu is the sensational product. It was made on a budget of around Rs. 8 Crores and it has collected more than Rs. 30 Crores. Overall, 66 films released in these three months in the Telugu States.
