12 Telugu movies with army backdrop

The Indian army is one of the biggest standing armies in the world, which prides itself on the fact that it’s an institution in which its citizens enroll voluntarily and not by force, unlike many other countries. The reason for the happy, blissful lifestyle that the country’s residents enjoy, is the Indian army, which protects the people of its nation from harm from any intruders at all. The entertainment has tried several times to give a tribute, in the form of thanks, to the Indian army, and Telugu cinema has done so as well.

With Adivi Sesh’s Major having been released today, take a look at all the other army-based movies in Tollywood.

  • Vijayendra Varma

Released in 2004, Balakrishna is seen as an army officer in this movie, in which Sangeetha, Laya, and Ankitha were the leading ladies. Popular writer Vijayendra Prasad wrote the story of this film, which turned out to be a disaster upon release.

  • Stalin

While Stalin has become memorable for the philosophy of helping three people and asking them to help three others, it is not to be forgotten that Megastar Chiranjeevi plays a man who’s returned from the army, after taking a bullet to his heart. Through Chiranjeevi’s character Stalin, the audience gets to experience the spirit of an army officer.

This is Puri Jagannath’s dream project, and he has been intending to make it for several years now, with Mahesh in the lead role.
