It has a sea of content from all over the world, in various languages, and comes up with more and more range every week from everywhere. This naturally means the OTT platform also has a good collection of Telugu content to stream. In this article, we shall look at the best Telugu films that Netflix has.

  • Uppena

Romantic drama film written and directed by debutant Buchi Babu Sana. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, it stars debutants Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty alongside Vijay Sethupathi in a prominent role. Set in Kakinada, the plot follows fisherman Aasi, who falls in love with Bebamma. Her father, Raayanam, is an influential zamindar who fiercely protects his daughter to safeguard his family’s honour.

  •  Bheeshma

Romantic comedy film written and directed by Venky Kudumula. The film stars Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna, while Anant Nag, Jisshu Sengupta, Vennela Kishore, and Sampath Raj play supporting roles. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi produces it under Sithara Entertainments. The music is composed by Mahati Swara Sagar.

  • Saakini Daakini

Shalini and Damini, two police trainees from differing backdrops, become intense rivals after their induction into the academy and placement in the same room. Their conflict eventually escalates into a full-blown brawl that nearly leads to their suspension. However, after Shalini helps an injured Damini during a forest run challenge when no one else does, their conduct is commended, and they become best friends.

  • Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya

The film directed by Venkatesh Maha and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and Vijaya Praveena Paruchuri for their respective banners Arka Media Works and Manayana Motion Pictures. The film stars Satyadev as Uma Maheswara Rao, alongside Naresh, Suhas, Raghavan, Hari Chandana and Roopa Koduvayur.

The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), which is based on an actual incident in the life of Thampan Purushan from Thuravoor, Cherthala.

It is a  biographical film based on the life of Chintakindi Mallesham, written and directed by Raj Rachakonda. The film features Priyadarshi as Mallesham, alongside Jhansi, debutante Ananya Nagalla and Ananda Chakrapani in prominent roles.

  • GodFather

It is a political action thriller film directed by Mohan Raja. It is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role alongside Salman Khan, Nayanthara, and Satya Dev alongside an ensemble cast including Puri Jagannadh, Murali Sharma, Tanya Ravichandran, Samuthirakani, Sarvadaman D. Banerjee, and Sunil.

  • Oohalu Gusagusalade  

It is a romantic comedy film written and directed by Srinivas Avasarala in his directorial debut. Sai Korrapati and Rajani Korrapati produce the movie on the Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner. It stars Naga Shaurya, Raashi Khanna in her Telugu film debut and Avasarala. An adaption of the 1897 French play Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, the plot revolves around a young girl Prabhavati and two men, Venky and Uday, who love her.

A man loves a woman but is killed by another envious man who lusts after the woman. He is reincarnated as a fly and determines to avenge his death. He teams up with the woman to make the murderer’s life a living hell.

Krishna Vrinda Vihari is a romantic family entertainer about a man from a conventional family who falls in love with a girl and struggles to convince his parents to marry her.

  • Thimmarusu: Assignment Vali

The film opens with a man giving taxi driver Aravind, a police informer, a video of suspicious activity. Later that night, a man named Vasu drives across the road to find Aravind dead. A corrupt cop, Bhupati Raju, arrests Vasu and beats and tricks him. Eight years later, when Vasu is on parole, lawyer Ramachandra takes his case.
