Kamal Hassan seems to be highly busy with his political party and works related to contesting in Lok Sabha Elections. The actor made less appearances in public when the movie, Indian-2 was said to be shooting.
Now, Kollywood media is saying that Shankar is on the lookout for new producers as Lyca Productions asked for a contract and bond that he will not let the budget go the given quota.
After facing losses in other productions too, Lyca needed a sure shot big hit with Indian-2 and also they wanted the movie to be made in a restricted budget, it seems. Shankar did not want to be bound by contract as he feared budget restriction could upset the movie quality.
He is looking for other producers even a collaboration to save the movie from being shelved if Lyca Productions decide to withdraw. Recent shooting postponement by Shankar on a set issue, triggered such reaction from the producers, it seems. I and 2.0, Shankar’s previous films ended up cost failures, adding to his current market situation.
