Superstar Rajanikanth as already gave his nod to act in the direction of Pa. Ranjith after Kabali. The actor made it clear that he wants to give a chance to those makers you can write the stories that will help him prove as an actor. The movie is produced by Dhanush, his son-in-law. The actor completed shooting for his movie directed by Shankar, Robo and the movie is slated for a release on 19th October for Diwali.
Now, everyone expected the movie to be sequel for Kabali when Ranjith was announced to the director. But the maker decided to go with the story of Tamil real life Don, Haji Masthan who grew to a stature that he decides the fate of politics in Mumbai and also known for financing movies as well. There is a good story a Tamilian uprising after initial suppression. Based on those real life incidents just like Kabali, that tried to bring out Malaysian Tamils plight in the movie, this movie too will be written by taking inspiration from real life.
After Basha, this would be Rajnikanth’s return to play a role of Don, based in Mumbai and the movie as off now is referred to as Thalaivar161. Soon the team will come up with a first look to announce the shooting schedules and other cast and crew details it seems. Mostly, many of those technical crew that worked for Kabali will be given another chance to work with South Indian Superstar as per the sources.
