Mahesh’s decision on Jana Gana Mana is still awaited – Puri Jagannadh

Puri Jagannadh is gearing up for his all important release this Friday. He is releasing a film after nearly 10 months gap from his last film, Loafer. He tried to confirm projects with many actors, even Megastar Chiranjeevi for his 150th in the mean time but when the actor decided to go with Khaidi No. 150, the director also moved on to his next Kannada film, Rogue. After completing Rogue he started ISM with Kalyanram in June and the movie is ready for release this week.

Puri interacted with media yesterday and shared some interesting insights about his future plans and ISM. The director said ISM will be his best after Temper and Kalyanram will be definitely in contention for best actor award from various organisations. The movie will be about Journalist Satyadev’s journey and it will attract audience more than the message. He said the film is more social relevant and he had this idea even before Pokiri.

When asked about Jana Gana Mana, he said Mahesh liked the script but he has not discussed further on the project. He said he is waiting for Mahesh’s go ahead but he is forced to move on to other projects. He said whenever Mahesh accepts to do the film, it will be his best even better than Pokiri. Mahesh is currently busy with Murugadoss film and his next two movies will be with Siva Koratala and most probably Trivikram and he also accepted one with Vamsi Paidipally.

When asked about movie with Megastar, Puri seemed disappointed about missing out on 150th and said he is sharing his scripts with many and if they accept then he will make film with them or else he will move on to make the script with others. He exampled that Pokiri was rejected by Pawan before he approached Mahesh. On his film with Jr. NTR he said wait till a week for any details.
