DJ will be another turning point for me : Rao Ramesh

Rao Ramesh is one of the busiest sporting actors these days. Like his father, Rao Gopal Rao, he also now settled as a negative lead for many big and small films. With his unique acting skills and dialogue delivery, Rao Ramesh already etched his name among the different actors who creatively changed the scope of an artist in the movie and earned a fan following for themselves.

Rao Ramesh attributed all this success to makers like Harish Shankar, Srikanth Addala and Trivikram Srinivas for creating varied characters that are tailor-made just for him. He also said he will never forget the encouragement he received from his friend Bibo Srinivas who was the main reason for Krrish casting him in the movie, Gamyam that changed his destiny as well. The actor wanted to become a photographer and took courses for that and sudden demise of his father changed his life completely.

He struggled hard for roles and the actor remembers those days dearly. He said, “ My father’s name earned me some respect while my struggling days but it never earned a role. I needed to prove myself and not many opportunities fell in my lap for that. I had to struggle to find one producer or director who could believe me. After Seema Simham, I lost hope on films and with Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao, wife’s suggestion I took a divisive turn in my career to star in serials. That helped me a lot and I shifted my base to Chennai. From 7,500 remuneration for entire serial, I earned upto 1,500 per episode and continued to work in 1000 episodes for a serial.

“I even got a chance to act in Tamil Serials as well. Now, I’m happy with the film roles and Duvvada Jagannadam will be another turning point in my career. Harish Shankar likes my father’s role as Royalla Naidu in AA Okkati Adakku, so he designed my getup in such a way in the film as well. It will be completely different from the original and I’m excited about the film release.” Duvvada Jagannadam starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde will realese on 23rd June, all over India.
